Smart TV

Background

TV as a medium is still very prevalent. Nonetheless, the old days of program TV have long gone and new formats are currently on exploration. One of these formats is so-called smart TV. This technology offers the possibilities to have custom tailored programs parallel to the actual broadcast. It serves customer retention but also interactivity with other users and can be understood as another window to the world out there.

Problem

Smart TVs are quite widespread but there is no actual standard in broadcasting and technical setup which renders this technology somewhat difficult to access for the technology novice.

Actual Challenge

The Challenge is to develop a format of smart TV content for senior citizens as a user group. This is not only the content of the program but almost as important the technical setup adapted to the focus group’s needs.
